What does content actually cost a small business?
Content is quoted per article and paid for in somebody's attention. The writing is the cheap part.
How is content priced?
Usually per article or as a monthly retainer for a set number of pieces. Ours is part of the Content and Visibility department at $1,800 to set up standalone, then $650 a month.
That department is not open to new clients yet, and the site says so rather than taking the enquiry.
What is the cost nobody quotes?
Your time approving it. Content about your business needs somebody from your business to check it, and in regulated fields that is not optional.
We do not publish on a client's behalf. Work is delivered ready and somebody at the business posts it, which keeps the accountability where it belongs.
Is content worth it for a small local business?
Sometimes not. If your customers find you on a map and choose on reviews, fix those first. Content pays off where people research before buying.
