Web design

Sometimes we build your homepage before you hire us.

Most agencies send a proposal and ask you to imagine it. If your web presence is measurably broken, we would rather rebuild the homepage and show you. You see the work before you pay for anything, and if you do not want it you have lost nothing.

Their hosting had lapsed, so the site returned a 404 to every customer who looked them up. The mailbox on the same domain was still working, which is how we knew someone was there to talk to.

Response

Built

Homepage rebuilt in two days. Recovered from archived material and photographs, typeset from the lettering on their own sign. We had not spoken to them yet.

A neighbourhood free house whose hosting had lapsed. Every customer searching for them landed on an error, while the venue was open and running events every week. We pulled the old site out of the Internet Archive, lifted photographs and a printed drinks list from their map listing, and typeset it from the sign painted on the building.

We also checked the mail server before assuming a dead site meant a dead business. It was live, which is how we knew there was somebody there to talk to. That single check is the difference between a real lead and a wasted week.

Included

What you get.

Three to four and a half thousand to build, then two hundred and fifty a month upward for hosting, security, updates and the monthly report. We do not sell a build without the retainer, because a site nobody maintains is worth less every month.

  • Five to eight pages, designed for your business rather than a template
  • Mobile first, because that is where nearly all your traffic is
  • Copy written from what your customers actually ask
  • Structured data so Google and AI assistants describe you accurately
  • Forms wired to where you actually work, not a mailbox nobody opens
  • Two rounds of revisions included
  • The Brand Brain captured while we build, which every agent later reads from

The website is where the agents plug in.

Once it exists, the phone, the listing, the content and the reporting all read from the same record we captured while building it.
